' Ljotar'
Description
This wand was created on the new moon in August. The wand was commissioned by Anita , it features an amethyst sphere, a moonstone on the band, a labradorite, an amethyst and a lapis lazuli.
Well, my wand arrived safely this morning and it's absolutely magnificent. The gems that you have chosen are just beautiful and the carved wand itself looks like ice. It is so delicate and at the same time so powerful. It 'hums' when I hold it and my hands were tingling when I put it down. It sounds strange, but I almost felt as though it was singing.
I am going to call it Ljotar , an Icelandic name which means "light" or "bright". I was in Iceland earlier this year and it seems appropriate. There is the same kind of strange powerful beauty there. I will use it in ritual work of course, but I am learning crystal healing at the moment so I hope to be able to use it there too.
